Biotechnology Exploration at Shanghai Yuanpei Biotechnology Co., Ltd. On December 24, 2024, I organized a visit to Shanghai Yuanpei Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Chairman Sun Qiwei introduced the development of biology in an engaging way, turning abstract concepts into vivid stories. Dr. Wu, an expert in biomaterials, presented cutting-edge research and its applications in healthcare and environmental protection. Students actively interacted with both speakers, experiencing how scientific theory connects with real-world innovation.
Internship & Patent about Biology
For the depth of studying biology, I actively engage in formulating a patent with my mentor Dr.Wu and many other brilliant minds. Specifically, I am the conductor of Raman spectroscopy experiment on assessing the status of SF9 cells, a model cell used for bioengineering, and the final outcome is that we discovered a new way which Raman spectroscopy can be used for modification in the specific content of the medium we culture cells in.
I participated in an internship at the Shanghai biotechnology center under Dr.Wu Jun as my mentor, and in this process, I am able to participate in multiple experiments from extracting specific proteins from venomes and helping to set up an HPLC (high pressure liquid chromatography) machine
